Our client, a well known firm in the Richard’s Bay area is looking for a Conveyancing Secretary to join their team!


R240 000 P/A (Dependent on experience, including all benefits + excluding single accommodation offered)

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric essential
  • Conveyancing qualification advantageous
  • Minimum of at least 5 – 8 years conveyancing experience in transfers
  • Full working knowledge of all MS packages
  • In-depth knowledge of conveyancing software/systems such as: Lexis Convey and Windeed
  • Knowledge of and experience in transfers & bond cancellations
  • Ability to work fast, accurately, efficiently and independently
  • Marketing skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Good people skills and team spirit
  • Ability to type documents confidently with attention to detail
  • Displays attention to detail with all work
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure for prolonged periods
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work as a team


  • Taking transfer instructions from estate agents and private clients, drawing of transfer documents, checking of documents, attending to signing of documents, registration of final accounts and despatching documents to clients
  • Preparing files accurately and according to specifications
  • Attending to lodgements and registrations of all conveyancing transfers
  • Attending to all the finances related to the transfer transactions
  • Drafting and checking of documents
  • Preparing final accounts and despatching documents to clients
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents & correspondents
  • Conducting property, person and company searches
  • FICA administration, following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complete
  • Ensure the filing system is kept up to date (hard copy and electronic)
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all matters
